We join the whole nation in celebrating Emirati Women's Day--expressing our appreciation for their role in building generations and the honorable achievements they have accomplished across various fields. We extend our heartfelt thanks and praise for the Emirati women who have served as inspiring models of success, progress and leadership--embodying examples of true patriotism coupled with a key sense of belonging.
This year's celebration of Emirati Women's Day is being held with the theme, 'Preparing for the next 50 years: Women are the support of the nation,' which is an embodiment of the keenness of the country's wise leadership to highlight the key contributions of Emirati women in the move to uphold the status of our nation and its representation across various regional and international forums in the best possible way and based on its pioneering position as a fundamental pillar in the development and implementation of its future plans and strategies.
The government has placed women empowerment at the top of its priorities, based on its commitment to the founding father's vision and in accordance with the directives of the UAE's wise leadership to recognize women as partners in the country's development process. In line with this, we at the Ajman free Zone are proud of the active participation and contributions made by Emirati women across our various departments and divisions. In fact, the percentage of Emirati women occupying leadership positions at Ajman Free Zone have reached 50 per cent of the total leadership category, while also reaching 65 per cent of the total UAE nationals working in the free zone--positive indicators that demonstrate our keenness towards female empowerment and our commitment to encourage them to work and contribute in the promotion of growth and prosperity in the free zone sector of the country, in line with the directives of the country's leaders.
We take this occasion as an opportunity for us to renew our commitment to provide all forms of support for the Emirati woman while also enhancing their contributions in the process of growth, development and prosperity. This helps open the way for their participation in shaping the economic, social and developmental landscape of the UAE, in line with its strategic plans to promote the integration of roles and equal opportunities between both genders and achieve total unification in the process.
